Hello Nicolas,

> What would be the lifetime of such varriant ?

I have no idea about its lifetime. I contacted Alberto Milone (Canonical
Software Engineer who provided first this driver) on April 2013 about this new
Broadcom driver, and unfortunately he hadn't so much information to share about
it. He told that he wasn't sure where and when the next release would be
available. This piece of code was provided by Broadcom in order to test it, but
with no more information.
Tests were successful on some devices, and not on some others.

I have no information about that, but I hope so. For the moment, the only thing
I can say after a few user's feedback is that this driver needs to be available
next the actual official Broadcom STA driver. This allow users to give a try to
this new driver, and in case of negative result, revert to the actual one.

Why not!

I've modified the SPEC file of the wl-6xx-kmod review request according to this
remark. But I also found this comment
http://lists.rpmfusion.org/pipermail/rpmfusion-commits/2009-February/003876.html
and I hope plague will deal correctly with this when time will come.

SPEC and SRPMS files for the wl-6xx-kmod review request were updated. Links
unchanged. Rpmlint same result.

Glad you comment this review request.

Cordially,
