There are still no scripts because the use cases are so spread.

The tutorials are installed under /usr/share/OpenCaster/ and there is
documentation available on how to use the examples at
http://www.avalpa.com/assets/freesoft/opencaster/AvalpaBroadcastServerUserManual-v3.0.pdf.
Perhaps I could install this PDF as part of the package?

The functionality you are describing is for VoD (Video on Demand) services.
AFAIK, OC is not a VoD server. It is mainly used for media broadcast and
streaming services over LAN. It is used inside the head-end, mostly on testing
environments.

I believe most of the tools could be used to streamline a VoD service, but it
still would need some more tools not in the scope of OC (at least an RTSP
server, and SDP, as you described).

Anyway, I think it is a good start to have those tools handy. Maybe in the
future, I (or someone else) could make some init scripts for some common use
case. Also, I think OC would need a little more development to make it a bit
more usable (like for example getting rid of named pipes) before that.

Anyway, the tools are useful as they are and I think would have a great value
to rpmfusion.
