avidemux translations in separate package?

It looks like some of the translations are not complete, specifically
Russian, so I was thinking of creating a separate package for the
translations so it would be easy to turn them "on" and "off" as I didn't
see anything in the preferences that allow this.

Thoughts?

Is this an acceptable way to solve the issue[1]?
