No, the current openshot is quite old and pretty much purely python based with
a dependence on mlt.

libopenshot (and libopenshot-audio) replace the dependence on mlt which had
issues and are C (C++?) based. These two libraries are new dependencies for the
eventual release of OpenShot 2.0 but can also be used by other programs.
