I do not believe the lines you quoted are from /var/cache/akmods/akmods.log

I believe they are from

/var/cache/akmods/nvidia-something/something.failed.log

The last line in /var/cache/akmods/akmods.log  (at least mine) reads...

2015/06/28 18:26:01 akmods: '/usr/sbin/akmods --force' as root.

So, the command to run before reboot is...

/usr/sbin/akmods --force
