For example I've just found out there's now a yumex-dnf so that is interesting.

Looking at what you have.....

I'd be inclined to uninstall akmod-nvidia

Then re-install kmod-nvidia-4.5.7-300 and see what happens.

Can you just confirm....

uname -a

Your kernel is 4.5.7-300,fc24
