I don't know about their setup. I always install via

The rpmfusion packages arrange to do all the module
blacklisting and wot-not that is necessary to get
nvidia drivers to work without making drastic
changes to other things on your system (so that
removing the packages also works :-).

BUT, on fedora 24, I was gratified to see the
the nouveau driver actually worked fine for my
GTX 750 Ti - apparently the lawyers have finally
figured out how to ship and load the firmware.

I got working video on a fresh f24 install with
no need to get the binary drivers.
