That would work, and we would only have to update it when nVidia or ATI changes
it's device support... We should probably name it rpmfusion-gpu-hwinfo or
something similar as users might complain get confused about having a part of
every GPU driver installed.

As kwizart pointed out on IRC though, we're just shuffling around the
documentation - instead of pointing them to the right driver package, we (or
the other howto sites) will be pointing to rpmfusion-config-display instead.
Either way, I guess it's still an improvement.

One problem we would have to work out ahead of time is how to determine when a
driver is installed... We can check for our drivers via rpm-python, but say the
user installs from nvidia.com. Those users need to be to easily create a
working config file as well. Perhaps a no_install_checks= flag for the config
file which would make rpmfusion-config-display assume all files are in place?


I'm jumping back and forth here, but I've scanned through the Gnome HIG and it
would be acceptable to use a drop-down menu or radio buttons. I think we should
use a drop-down menu since we have no way of predicting what we need to
display. Generating radiobuttons dynamically is possible, but pretty cumbersome
and it introduces way too much clutter if we consider the parallel-installable
drivers which will be out sometime in the near future. Having 3 radiobuttons
listed under Manual wouldn't be out too of the ordinary (for example if the
user chooses to install nvidia's regular, beta, and legacy variants), and
that's 7 radio buttons we're presenting to the user... If we go ahead with the
above and display all of our variants to the user, that makes for 9 radio
buttons by default, without any user additions.
