I disagree with you. On fedora we need a repackaged source because the original
package contains parts with potential patent issues. But here on freeworld the
only thing we need to do is to remove the system libraries from the original
package in the %prep stanza to make surce, that the build will be going agains
the system libraries.

I want to point out, that there is a packaging guideline draft which dicuss
this topic.
