There are no reference of guideline that cover the case of either freeworld
version of a package and the importance to have it built from the same source
tarball than fedora does, whenever it is possible (which is the case right
now).

There is neither guidelines for badly designed source released mechanism from
upstream. We should promote the usage of splitted tarball for blender (one for
contribs, the other for blender itself along with contribs patches). This is
the method used for vlc for an example.
