Probably, I'll use that instead of their project page.

I asked upstream to consider supporting the BUILD_SHARED_LIBS flag properly or
disable it by force.  I have patches to do both, but I am including the one
that disables it until they give a response, so as not to change the project's
default behavior.

The rawhide build is patched in the SRPM, and that is sent upstream as well.
