Thanks for taking care of mplayer.
What are the developments ? 
- https://github.com/rpmfusion have a mirror of all sources , at least
people could know the state of updates and build in on others arches 
- if spectool -g foo.spec doesn't download the sources , we should
upload sources to old infra with old make new-sources FILES="foo" 
- and, please, do not forget update the sources file on git (md5sum
foo.tar.bz2 > sources)

BTW what is the state of gstreamer (packages to 1.6.x ) for F23 ? you
need help?
