ffmpeg plans for F-16 ?

Yup, I suspect they rely on those deprecated functions.

If the patching will be simple or not I don't know. There was a lot of
renaming stuff like

Mantaining the two versions may be easier than keep patches to make
all apps not compatible with the new API work. As apps are updated to
support the new API, the FFmpeg 0.7 package will be used less and less
until (hopefully) one day it can be killed.
