nvidia-persistenced or not.
The only bug I found about using binaries was the following, referenced in
the xorg-x11-drv-nvidia changelog:

Reverting to the binary seems just a quick fix for decreasing maintenance
burden.
I would like to know if I can follow the road for the separate nvidia
packages before seeing 3 reviews and patches closed for nothing, as it is
quite time consuming and my time is really limited.
