Purely because if something borks during the install you'll tear your
hair out trying to identify if it's from the original install set or
from the updates......
If you do a clean install, then add the repos from the rpmfusion
website, then do your yum update all, reboot, yum install nvidiaxxx
driver you'll likely be much better off in the longrun.
