Any ETA for Nvidia 319.49?
by Andre Costa
Hi,
any ETA on the new version of the Nvidia driver (319.49)? It fixes the
annoying bug that makes it impossible to take window screenshots. I just
checked updates-testing and updates for non-free packages and didn

Plymouth with Nvidia drivers
by Peter Oliver
I find that Fedora's usual graphical boot splash goes away when I install the proprietary Nvidia drivers from rpmfusion.org, replaced with a text-based progress-bar.
However, I found that all I needed to do to get back to the graphical version was to change gfxpayload=text to gfxpayload=keep in the GRUB2 config. Given that it seems so simple, I wonder why this isn't the default? Have I just shot myself in the foot in some way that I'm yet to realise?

Fedora 19, NVidia packages and Cuda
by Satz Klauer
Hi,
after my latest updates to F19 and the NVidia-packages (of course
including kmod-nvidia for the current kernel) Boinc no longer
recognises Cuda.
So: is there a known bug in these NVidia packages or was libcuda moved
to an additional package?
Thanks!

Problems with recent Fedora 19 catalyst driver update
by Raman Gupta
I'm not sure if this is a packaging issue, or an issue with the driver
itself. I am using the recently released AMD catalyst 13.8-beta driver
for Fedora 19 (kernel 3.10.4-300).
The two issues are:
1) Something is pointing to the module in the wrong place
(/usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so) instead of
/usr/lib64/dri/fglrx_dri.so.
2) The permissions on /proc/ati/major seem to be incorrect.
See the output from glxinfo below:
$ LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo | head -5
libGL: AtiGetClientDriverName: 13.20.4 fglrx (screen 0)

Any interest in mediainfo?
by Richard Shaw
I don't think there's any reason mediainfo[1] can't go in Fedora, but I
figured the most likely user base would be here in RPM Fusion.
This has been a useful utility for me giving very detailed media
information and I'm considering submitting it for review anyway, but it
requires two other libraries that are not yet in Fedora and I've got enough
packages to take care of as it is.
That being said, if someone will help with the reviews and offer to
co-maintain, I'd consider submitting them for review.
Thanks,
Richard
