which leaves the question open why someone upgrades to F19 if he
relies
on BLOB drivers without any need because F18 is supported the next
months
The simple answer is because Fedora has 2 previous kernels installed and I can simply
choose the last 3.10 and continue happily on my way while this is fixed.
so as user you have three choices:
* think about the hardware you buy
* think about mindless upgrades without pressure if you bought the
wrong
* think about using a LTS distribution for crappy hardware
I'll go for choice #4:
* Ignore zealots and continue to be fantasticly happy with my hardware AND my experience
:)
if any hardware needs a 3rd party driver and is not supported
out-of-the-box
i simply do not buy it - so easy life can be
Oh, I don't have any 3rd party hardware in my box that is not supported
out-of-the-box. Fedora ships a very usable driver I can use for my hardware. However, as
a gamer and a 3D user I Choose (see, I'm excercising my right and freedom to choose)
the drivers that give me higher frames and more stability, even tho they are closed
source.
PS: And finally, I would like to thank you so much for all your "help".
You've been great. :)
