Hello,
I have an issue with Xorg and I suspect the nvidia driver from what I am
seeing with sysprof. It started about a month ago and I have been
trying to confirm the issue.
When I switch users after being logged in for some time, it can take an
hour for the switch to occur. Even going from a tty console to an
X-session can take that long.
Running TOP I see that Xorg is at 100%.
When I run sysprof-cli from a ssh session, I end up with Xorg pointing
to ioctl and then kernel and then _nv031488m where the _nv makes me
think it can be related to the nvidia
(akmod-nvidia-415.27-1.fc29.x86_64) driver. Other captures point to
different _nvXXXX calls.
For this problem, I have to be logged in but change to a console or
another X session. Moving back and forth can be slow at times but if
left over a hour or so, I have a major problem.
Now, do I report this problem to the rpmfusion bugzilla or try to submit
it to nvidia?
Looking through the nvidia-bug-report.log.gz I see that there is an
error message for the driver. I expect this one.
[ 19.102] (WW) Warning, couldn't open module nouveau
[ 19.102] (EE) Failed to load module "nouveau" (module does not exist, 0)
[ 19.102] (WW) Warning, couldn't open module nv
[ 19.102] (EE) Failed to load module "nv" (module does not exist, 0)
[151101.650] (EE) open /dev/fb0: No such file or directory
And when the problem occurs, I get lots of these in logs.

Which tells me this is where the error is, looking at one of the two
monitors. This particular monitor is the one that I usually switch out
for the ssh session so it may be related to that.
Video card is GeForce GTX 960
