I made that same switch. When I did, I had some trouble I still don't completely
understand, but at the end a complete uninstall and re-install so that the following file
in place seemed to solve my problems:
It seems to me that you might check the output of ldconfig -v and make sure that the
nvidia (GL for example) libraries appear before the openGL libraries in .../lib64.
Yes I think it was crashing when trying to use OpenGL, I did a couple of things which seem
to fix it but not sure what exactly fixed it.
1. I un-installed them I tried to go back to atrpms but was missing a kmdl so ended up
re-installing rpm fusion again
2. installed latest Kernel
3. some process has cleared out my xorg.conf
after those two actions I seem be back to normal.. phew.. nearly was without TV playback
minus WAF could have been ugly..
But I see the Nvidia HOWTO needs some updating to explain the akmod process when kernel
version changes, and some of the commands didn't work..
but I think its all good now..
Interestingly I'm running at a higher resolution now (1920 x 1080) where before I
was running 720p so I don't know which is best..
