When do you expect Fedora-23-compatible packages to be available?
Some of us are waiting to upgrade from F22 to F23 and/or about to
clean-install Fedora on brand-new machines. But we've come to rely on
packages available only on RPM Fusion. How much longer, then, must we wait?

F23 Packages still in a beta state , so base repo isn't close and new
packages are in updates-testing , if you miss somethings peak up .
Packages [1] should enable the correct repos .

Hi Temlakos,
As an RPM Fusion packager, the answer is... when it's ready but within a
few weeks. The required tasks to complete are reducing, with Nicolas
kicking major goals.
The catch is that in building an all new RPM Fusion infrastructure from
scratch, some of our key people have been very busy manually committing,
building and pushing updates for the previous releases, to tide us over.
I'm not sure when they sleep...

IMHO Fedora isn't viable without it if you have an nvidia card
and use the graphics.

pretty clear in context of the non-free driver, hence don't buy hardware
where you rely on the mercy of the hardware manufacturer when you use a
bleeding-edge distribution

Though I note that official nvidia support has arrived for
xorg 1.18 yesterday, so now we just need to know when
rpmfusion will catch up :-).
Just updated from the "testing" repository using "dnf install
akmod-nvidia-340xx".
The only thing I would note is that one should be prepared to be greeted with a blinking
cursor after reboot while the kmod-nvidia-340xx package gets built and installed. The
test machine I installed on is old/slow so it took several minutes.

Thanks for the info.
The 340 driver might work for me. I see the GTX 750 Ti listed by nvidia
in the supported products, but I'm running a 355 driver now on f22,
maybe I'll wait a bit and see if more versions show up on rpmfusion.
