Just a heads up that I have updated packages for the gspca kernel module at: http://www.lesbg.com/jdieter/gspca/gspca-1.00.20-1.les8.src.rpm and http://www.lesbg.com/jdieter/gspca/gspca-kmod-1.00.20-1.les8.src.rpm Thorsten, I grabbed the current src rpms off of Livna and rebased them to the new upstream, so you shouldn't have to do much of anything with them. New livna packages automatically in rpmfusion ?

Hi, I just added a package (xv) to livna, and was wondering if I needed to do anything proactive to make sure it will be included (probably in "nonfree, due to its shareware license) once rpmfusion goes live ? This package is not in freshrpms or dribble, so there are no collisions there. Just wondering who's court the ball is in w.r.t. adding recent livna packages to rpmfusion... Thanks, Gabriel

totem-xine providing totem?

Could totem-xine provide totem so that apps needing totem can be satisfied with having totem-xine? Or should those apps require something different? Say /usr/bin/totem? This is actually addressed more to the Livna maintainers where I'm getting my packages from, but if RPMFusion has decided to adopt another's package, that's good as well. -- Richi Plana

gstreamer mss/mmsh seeking support hitting livna devel repo

Hi All, I've been spending hours and hours the last week to get mms and mmsh seeking support added to gstreamer-plugins-bad. This will become available in livna development as soon as it gets build by the admins. Note to livna admins: first build the new libmms, then the new gstreamer-plugins-bad. In order to enjoy mms seeking (on F-8 or devel), you need to install / update to the following from Fedora devel: gstreamer-0.10.15-1 gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.15-1 Note: gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.15-1 will become available with the next rawhide push, get it from koji now: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=24639 And the following from livna devel: gstreamer-ffmpeg-0.10.2-5 gstreamer-plugins-bad-0.10.5-12 gstreamer-plugins-ugly-0.10.6-4 I believe I now have this working 100% so please install these, test it and let me know how it works. And nothing works as well as apt-get with regarding these two features. Because of the problem that I mentioned in my previous post, I once again did a serious investigation of yum and smart over the last month. I need and want apt-get and in order for it to work properly you need the apt way of doing things. Please, please, please don't abandon (from a user perspective anyway) this elegant, mature, feature rich package manager. It still the best available. Matthias I realize that you must be very busy with the new repository. But please fix this. Until you guys get Rpmfusion (which I'm looking forward to with great anticipation) I still need to rely on Freshrpms.
