These packages are: cairo, freetype, fontconfig, libXft (and maybe pixman, this should be checked). Source packages already exist with patches supporting these features for all the above packages at: ftp://brebs.me.uk/fedora/10/. Those packages will come from original fedora cairo,libXft,freetype packages and will be patched with LCD filter patch , named afterwards as freetype-freeworld, cairo-freeworld, libXft-freeworld. So we can catch the Ubuntu and have the nice fonts afterwards :). I am using those packages on my own, have them prepared (not overriding libraries now) for fedora 10 and it looks awesome. How should I proceed with this, to be sure, that my effort invested to development this packages will by payed by including those packages to rpmfusion-nonfree repository (and writing short howto on rpmfusion.org wiki) to make people aware of that.
