I finally found the time to set up mirrormanager for rpmfusion. This is
the first known mirrormanager installation outside of Fedora so that I
am still trying to get rid of some Fedoraisms, but it seems to work so
far:

I imported all mirrors from http://rpmfusion.org/Mirrors. The only
problem I currently have is that the http interface to
http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/pub/Linux/distributions/rpmfusion/
and
http://fedora.uib.no/rpmfusion/
is not (yet) working. Only the corresponding FTP sites are working, but
somehow the mirrormanager crawler seems to ignore FTP URLs.
Once this is fixed it should also be possible to generate the
mirrorlists for yum using mirrormanager.
Currently I am not yet authenticating against FAS because that requires
a lot of FAS knowledge and I was happy to get it running with a local
user database. This is also planned and I was also already told who
helped Fedora's mirrormanager installation to get it working with FAS.

Thanks. I have now added all sites from the wiki to our mirrormanager
instance. The only thing missing is now the dynamically generated
mirrorlists for yum. This still needs a few changes to the code. Should
be ready soon.

works now. At the end of this mail is a list of all repositories our
mirrormanager knows about. All these can be used as value for the repo
parameter in the link above.
An overview which mirrors are available gives the publiclist at:

I would be happy to keep it running on my system, but it would probably
make sense that I run it in a virtual apache host pretending to be part of
rpmfusion.org. Something like:
http://mirrors.rpmfusion.org/mirrorlist?repo=free-fedora-9&arch=ppc
If somebody can add the necessary information to DNS it would be ready
for use.

Very good idea. Many changes I did for rpmfusion are going upstream, so
a good thing like that should be no problem. Let me try it out.
