Hi,
after a long period of apparent inactivity, xine-lib upstream has finally
made a new release, 1.1.20:

As usual for xine-lib, the plugin ABI has been bumped, so the updates in RPM
Fusion Free:
xine-lib-extras-freeworld-1.1.20-3.fc16
xine-lib-extras-freeworld-1.1.20-3.fc15
will need to be coordinated with the corresponding updates in Fedora:

I already built everything and filed the updates in Bodhi for Fedora.
I am NOT touching Fedora 14 because it has almost reached its end of life,
and I'm not convinced this update is safe for Fedora 14 at this stage (also
because upstream does not mention anything security-relevant being fixed by
the update). Fedora 14 defaulted to phonon-backend-xine, so xine-lib is
critical for the KDE Plasma Workspaces there.

These have now reached updates-testing.

The Fedora 16 update:
is now queued for stable.
The Fedora 15 update is "critical path" due to the
kdelibs → phonon → phonon-backend-xine → xine-lib
dependency chain (the default Phonon backend in Fedora 15 is GStreamer, but
the critical path marking algorithm is greedy and marks all backends as
critical), so it needs to wait another week unless there's positive feedback
in Bodhi.

I have no idea. Maybe it got queued too late to be included, or somebody got
scared of pushing a "critical path" update (which isn't all that critical
given that the default Phonon backend in F15 is GStreamer), or whatever.

The updates that pushed yesterday were those ones that were being
pushed when the NFS outage occurred. That push had to be completed
before another could happen.
I'm doing a push now that should include it.
