rpmfusion:kernel modules decision: kmod

Hi All,
After numerous attempts we (Thorsten, Xavier and I) have failed to get in touch
which Matthias to involve him in making a decision about which packaging method
to use for kernel modules in rpmfusion.
As we really need to move forward now with rpmfusion to have everything ready
for F-10, I've proposed to Thorsten, Xavier to make a decision now without
Matthias, to which they have agreed.
So the 3 of us have made the decision that kmods and akmod will be the way to
package kernel modules within rpmfusion.
Thorsten will begin building all kmod's from livna in rpmfusion today. If there
are any out of tree drivers which you want to see packaged in rpmfusion now you
know what to do :)

Note that if you're interested in Free out of tree drivers, it would be even
better to spend time on getting them in to the official upstream kernel, I can
help with that if you want to spend time on that.

I rebuilt vlc-0.9.3-1 (from rpmfusion devel) on F9. Built OK, but no sound.
I get:
[00000429] pulse audio output error: Failed to connect to server: Connection
refused
[00000429] pulse audio output error: Pulse initialization failed
*** PULSEAUDIO: Unable to connect: Connection refused
My pulseaudio should be working fine. Using it for everthing else (e.g.,
amarok). Any ideas?

Hmm. For what do we actually need or want to use the "Accepted packages"
tracker bug? If we just use it for the "create package in cvs" case then
we could directly use the CVS tracker bug directly, can't we? OTOH: If
we want to keep track of things then we should not remove packages that
have been accepted.

I did something like this myself in the past a few times. But a few days
ago I thought: Hey, this removes the subscribers to the mailing list out
of the loop. Do we want that? I tend to say "no".

Omega 10 Beta released

We proudly present to you, dear users with Omega. Omega is a Linux based
operating system suitable for desktop and laptop users. It is a Live CD
for regular PC (i686 architecture) systems that includes a variety of
free and open source software from Fedora and Livna repository. You can
try it out on a computer or install it to the hard disk. This is a BETA
release with a snapshot of the latest bleeding edge development packages
