Multi-card nVidia driver patch
by Bob Richmond
The new vga arbiter API in Fedora 12's kernel breaks the nVidia driver
when used with multiple cards. Drivers that don't need legacy VGA I/O
are supposed to opt-out of VGA Arbitration.
I posted a patch to nvnews last night that is working for a few people
(including myself) for multi-card configurations.
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=142656
Can the nvidia driver maintainer incorporate the patch in the rpmfusion
package? The patch is attached.

BuildSystem stuck
by Jack Neely
Folks,
It looks as if the build system is stuck. I've had packages "building"
for 16 or so hours. The PPC arches build, but not the intel arches.

Buildsystem questions
by Jack Neely
Folks,
I've run a build of the openafs package and it fails on the PPC arches.
Build logs are here:
http://buildsys.rpmfusion.org/logs/fedora-11-rpmfusion_free/6010-openafs-...
Errors in question are:
make[3]: execvp: bison: Permission denied
I'm not familar with building and maintaining things on PPC arches at
all, however that looks like a problem on the build host. Is that
correct?
Are the PPC arches required for the packages to be approved for the
testing/production repositories?
Thanks!
Jack

Introduction
by John Arntz
Greetings!
My name is John S. Arntz I just signed up for this list and would like to introduce myself. I have used Fedora since Fedora 5 and love the packages that RPMFusion offers (Before RPMFusion I used FreshRPMs). I'm not a programmer, but I know enough to make a basic package. I plan to make my first package submission to Bugzilla soon, fceux, an NES Emulator based on FCE Ultra. My first question, though, where would be a good place to host the .spec and .srpm files? I don't have a website anwhere. I'm aware of sites like rapidshare, megaupload, qshare, and mediafire. But I'm not sure if those would be the best places to host the files. Once I am able to find a place to post them, I will take the plunge and file my submission for review. Also, the source contains gfceux which is a GTK Glade frontend based on GFCE Ultra. How should I handle packaging this? Should I make them two separate packages and submissions, since they are actually two builds included in
the same tarball and have to be built separately, or as a sub-package of fceux? The .spec files that I have made are based upon fce-ultra and gfce-ultra's .spec files so as they exist now, I have them as two unique packages. You feedback is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
John S. Arntz
