etlegacy review update
by Petr Menšík
Hi all,
I have updated etlegacy package review [1] with fixed build. I have
found after update, it compiled well but running was somehow broken. It
seems some parts of code do weird stuff not correctly optimized, fixed
that by disabling -flto on the package.
I would like to receive some feedback for data fetching system I have
prepared. It is just simple shell script, which checks presence of
additional prorietary data. When they are not found, it opens web page
with instructions. It should allow even unskilled user to install data
and run the game.
I would like to receive some feedback on how understandable it is. Could
you please try it, whether it works fine?
Last time I tried, well working was only i386 build. 64 bit build seems
to be broken on my machine. But I checked scratch build [2] and it seems
32 bit builds are not done anymore. Is that final decision? It seems
only 32b builds are supported for actual playing. Does it work to someone?
Cheers,
Petr

As far as I can see, the patch touches only the bluetooth module, so you
need to replace only that module and not the entire library.

Push of nvidia-390xx-kmod to updates?
by Henrik Nordström
Can we please push the nvidia-390xx-kmod-390.144-3.fc34 build from
updates-testing to updates?
The 5.14 kernel have now hit F34 causing troubles for users updating
their systems.
The upgrade is verified by me (F34) and at least one user (F35).
And it looks like kernel 5.14 may hit F33 in some time as well (koji
build available, but no update yet). nvidia build for F33 just
submitted to prepare for this.
Regards
Henrik

While I don't disagree this should be the name of the package in the
first step , can you clarify why this package rename would be needed
now ?
I tend to think that given it lesser usage, going with the current
name would fit.
Thanks.
