OK, just to address this last point first - it seems that the jack developers
in their wisdom decided to remove the -Z option from jackd as of version 2.
This means basically all existing builds of LiVES that use jack will stop
functioning when the user upgrades to jack2.
The only solution for existing users is to manually edit their ~/.jackdrc file
and remove the -Z flag if present.
This is one example of why the new installer only recommends jack for "pro"
users.
In all other cases users should be using pulseaudio which generally works out
of the box.
