ah , so I vote in ffmpeg 0.10.x in F16 .
Thxfully, you have no elector card in this
area ;).
For the record,ffmpeg 0.10.x silently breaks it's ABI and has API changes.
There are even packages that currently fails to build from sources in
F-17, so it is to be a higher priority to fix them!
