Unless someone steps up to help, that's exactly I am suggesting. Unless
patches are really easy to backport I just do not have the skills to do
this.
It should be possible to backport individual bugfixes (or alternatively, to
revert individual patches requiring newer FFmpeg APIs).
I'll have a look how it goes tonight or tomorrow.
