I'm well aware that I sometimes might have done that now and then --
especially in the phase to get RPM Fusion started, as I got the
impression everyone waited for someone to drive things forward, so I did
when everything seemed stuck.
But I always try to announce things *early* in the process to give
people a chance to influence stuff before I do it. But if I got to far

BTW, I in the initial mail of this thread already raised the need to
maybe form a real steering committee and have regular IRC meeting.
