But as a general answer, "yes", the hope is to get all this upstreamed because
it's a pain. I was hoping to get the package approved and then work on the
upstream issues.
Both libdca and libmp4v2 are definitely disappointing - they are much more
tightly coupled to a specific version than I had hoped for.
I'm very interested
in seeing HandBrake in Fedora... I tried packaging
HandBrake a while back and encountered the same problems as you.
Have you had any luck with ffmpeg, x264 or a52dec in terms of getting the
patches upstream?
