This patch is what does ffmpeg_patch.sh to get dvb support within xdtv.
So it is not acceptable in ffmpeg as it is.
What would you suggest ?
What does it need the setuid bit for? Device access? If so, then you
can add an
udev rule to allow the currently logged in user access the device without
needing root.
That would need manual tweaking for creating the related udev rule
from the
user side. I guess i will need to document this point on the rpmfusion wiki
page on rpmfusion.org.
