Afaik, from a list of modules that matches a particular device ID,
kernel loads
a module and if it fails it loads the other module in the list. I don't foresee
a problem either.
We never had this case before, the previous case we had, the
module was
differently named, and uses different process to load. (xorg driver in the
nvidia case) So that's important enought:
1/ Have this tested we apppropriate hardware
2/ Do them Conflicts, even.
Now you have been warned, that will be your responsabily as the maintainer of
the related packages.
