Hi, OpenCASCADE is now licensed as LGPL 2.1 so it should be
acceptable in
Fedora:
http://www.opencascade.org/getocc/download/loadocc/
I've seen some talk about that on the OCE mailing list but didn't know it was
official.
Unless the OCE build system is adopted (cmake) I don't know that I had any
interest in supporting it when OCE essentially fills the same purpose. I
remember the OpenCascade spec requiring a large number of patches that had to
be maintained between releases which is one of the reasons I decided to go with
OCE instead.
(I don't have time to maintain this myself, but I'll try and
help with reviews
(and for ifcopenshell/bimserver/freecad etc...), Cc me: bruno(a)postle.net)
FreeCAD is already in RPM Fusion non-free just like OCE (I maintain both), but
in this case since OCE is now GPL licensed, I'll look into moving both into
Fedora proper.
