Why should that be worth the work here?
Because guidelines strictly forbid the usage of rpath. And solution seems
pretty simple.
And which of the two solutions is more reliable and fool-proof
against
miss-configuration or other problems?
It works for a bunch of packets in Fedora. And it will be more difficult to
override any lib there with rpath in case of need.
Anyway, review ticket is not the place for such discussions, I think.
