I think the buildroot is actually fine. Current versions of Fedora
no longer
require this (I'm only including it for EL5 compatibility), so it's in the EPEL
guidelines:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/GuidelinesAndPolicies#BuildRoot_tag
The one I chose was the most preferred one in the list of three in that
guideline.
