I can see what you are saying Richard, but as there is a way of building
release with the debugging info, would this be more optimised? I don't have
enough understanding to know the best way to choose which option is better -

Anyway, once this is resolved we seem to have a way forward with the debug
info.
The easiest way is to do as Richard said (just one parameter in cmake). What
Greg's saying is also fine (two parameters in cmake).
I was thinking about the source code. If I were to post the source in
the
fedora sticky in the pcsx2 forum, this would give a publicly accessible URL
that I could include in the spec: Would this solution be okay, Andrea?
No, because you are not upstream.
You can put a comment before the Source URL on how to download the file.
Anyway, the .7z archive is not very distribution friendly. Maybe upstream can
use a .tar.gz. This would be much better :-)
