Is this review request dead?
Yes. Nicolas has opted to use a
static configuration and honestly, it's simpler
this way so I'm doing this too for catalyst starting from F16.
rpmfusion-config-display was supposed to make it easy to dynmaically switch
between the proprietary and free drivers installed but because of all the
workarounds needed esp. when a new Fedora release comes out, it just isn't
worth it.
Now that we have xorg.conf.d, it becomes much easier to create a plug-and-play
driver since we no longer have to meddle with their xorg.conf. If the user is
installing xorg-x11-drv-* from RPM Fusion, then it will stay activated. If they
don't want it, they can (1) learn how to disable/enable it manually through the
config files or (2) simply yum remove the driver to undo changes and yum
install to get it back later.
