Thanks for stepping in and taking care of avidemux. You are in for
a lot of work, though. A long time ago I started a page:

in RPMFusion packages. You'll notice that avidemux has significant
presence there. I'd like to ask you to work towards unbundling as
many libraries as you can. If you need any help, please don't hesitate

Yeah, nobody told me that before I accepted the package :)
I'm pretty sure little has changed for avidemux on that page but the
dates are mostly from 2009. Of course js can now be taken off the
list. But that was easy since the cmake option already existed. The
rest will be more difficult I think.
FFmpeg would be the most difficult, if even possible, to do since it
appears to be heavily patched from the source.
I think I'll go after libass and/or liba52 next but it may require me
learning a lot more about cmake than I know today.
