Sure, happy to comaintain. :-)
I've been running with this enabled via a /etc/profile.d script for awhile and
it's working as well as can be expected. Fullscreen video can be choppy at
times but that's what I get for having cheap graphics hardware. :-/
Maybe we should ship an /etc/profile.d script that enables this if intel
hardware is present? I guess if people are going through the trouble to
install this package they probably want it to Just Work. But given the gotchas
maybe just shipping a README is better?
Package Review

MUST: License field in the package spec file matches the actual license.
The License tag is LGPLv2+, but the COPYING file indicates that the license is
LGPLv3 only. Please fix.
SHOULD: %check is present and all tests pass.
Upstream ships tests but they don't seem to work. :-(
Everything else looks fine, please fix the MUST and I'll approve.
