I have a computer with NVIDIA drive, but I still not update to F17 ,
until now I don't had any problem .
May I just update from non-graphical grub2 to graphical grub2 in F16 ?
For my part, as Sérgio said it, I have a computer with lastest RPMFusion
NVidia driver enabled on a Geforce Go Mobile 7950GTX and F-16, and until
now: no problems with Gnome-shell desktop and even with graphical grub2
bootloader in GFXMode enabled (wallpaper in Grub2 menu background - yes
probably useless but so eyed candy ;)). The only "glitch" I had to deal
with, is to "un-blacklist" nvidiafb in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf to
get wider tty consoles.
In addition, I administer several computers with NVidia GPUs and some
with F-16 and Grub2 graphical boot sequence activated, and configured as
my personal machine, and again no problems were noted until now.
So to conclude Grub2 graphical mode, for my personal point of vue, seems
to work correctly in F-16 with Nvidia graphic cards. I didn't tried it
in F-17 as all this machines are production ones, but I don't think this
should be a problem.
Cordially,
