As I already wrote, that means the infrastructure needs to limit the
size of
commit e-mails, it is unreasonable to ask maintainers to work around
that.

and use any local tools (e.g., qgit).
So , what prevent you to use lookaside cache instead asking the
infrastructure to limit the size of commit e-mails ?
