Isn't it so that it's anyway the best option for this specific package which
just contains mp3? The discussion is really about the main package?! It's at
least my understanding.
Well yes more or less but I'd like to keep everything the same as the Fedora
sox package except what's necessary to enable MP3 support.
On a side note, I've added your patches to my spec file but ran into a problem
where autoreconf is looking for the libgsm folder which I removed in %prep.
Also, I could use a little educating here on autoconf. Should we be patching
configure if we're patching configure.{am,in}? I thought we only needed to
patch the latter and run autoreconf to regenerate configure.
