You could delay (2 hours) the x86_64 build if you add this to the spec
%build
%ifarch x86_64
sleep 2h
%endif

This will only help if the buildsys can crunch through even one build at
a time, which is not certain - as I wrote in the ML thread, ld itself
tops at 2.4 GiB.
