Separate bugs report should have been filed with Appropriate dependencies set.
Now despite the xorg driver have been copied from the current packaging scheme
for nonfree driver and nvidia picked as an example, there is some missing
parts.
- Currently livna-config-display should be modified to enable the driver
(creating an appropriate xorg.conf at least). Unless driver should only be set
as psb we could enable some special non-default option if appropriate.
- That packaging scheme is deprecated and we are working with firewing1 to
re-work how closed source drivers are packaged. (that's what is currently in
review under rpmfusion-config-display).
Basically, it will mean that installing the packaged driver will not mean we
are using it. But others questions are involved, specially how the driver
behave when updated while Xorg is running.
Whereas I'm in vacation right now, I will be completely offine in few hours
without internet access. So I would like this question to be defered until
September.
