Hi,
Just a quick sum-up of various infra changes that you might be affected:
- I've created a dedicated powerbuilder group for builders, some heavy
related tasks are now directed to the more powerfull builders
automatically. This is the case for telegram-desktop, kodi, chromium
at qt5-qtwebengine.
If you feel like one of your package needs to be built on
powerbuilder, please ask.
- I also revered an option to only allow one build per-builder (to
avoid ressources exhaustion)
The problem is that is also affect others minor tasks and lead to a
queue full on builders.
- koji was updated to last from 16.1, we should start to use koji
dist-repo to generate repositories (at least on new ones such as rpi,
cuda and tainted ones).
- koji space disk clean-up. There is a need to remove f27 packages to
further clean
- I've re-applied the still out-of-tree patch to monitor external-repo
changes (only this morning):
https://pagure.io/koji/pull-request/516
We should experience less build error caused by fedora repo been desynchronised.
I expect there is still a race condition with this patch (as explained
on the PR), so please ask Leigh or me if you need an regen-repo task.
- I've changed the rawhide build target to direct packages into the
-candidate tag instead of f30-free directly. So If you build depends
on the previous one, please tag it in -override (rawhide is like
others branches now). This will make it possible to sign rawhide repos
at a later point.
Next changes:
- I plan to improve ACL on koji, basically the idea would be to for
packager to move package to stable as they need. (only moving from
testing to stable would be allowed, as -candidate to -testing is used
to sign). The default is still to move to testing, then stable on the
next push exept for all -freeworld packages that requires a manual
move along the fedora counterpart.
I would be fine to have a someone to write a script to help moving the
freeworld package when the fedora package is moving to stable...
- Building against RHEL8 beta is still unclear because the "modules"
there (and also if we need dedicated repo only open to rhel
subscribers). I will need few changes for the infra that might affects
normal build. So I will probably defer to next year.
Thx
