It performs fast and reliable application protocol detection, independent on the TCP/UDP port they are being bound to. Package is based on the amap package from PLD linux using the patches used for the PLD src.rpm Why this package is not eligible to be included in Fedora: AMAP license is applying extra restrictions to GPLv2 making it non-free for Fedora.
