[Bug 3912] Review request: lives - Video editor and VJ tool

I don't have a Fedora box to test on at the moment. I suspect this user may have some odd kind of set up, since the error messages look very strange, and the final crash occurs in a normal gtk+ function. Is anyone else able to reproduce it ?
