F9 and F10 provides TH 2.0 which can use enigmail 0.95.7. But this require a small additional patch (applying on TH sources) which explain why this package never been accepted in fedora. All others deps already required by thunderbird All other .so already required by thunderbird. No need to provide libenigmime-x86_64-gcc3.so but this can probably be removed. The link point to the mozilla page which say LGPLv2+. But as this is not a (re)usable lib. this have probably no sens. thunderbird in Fedora, Yes. Some patch are probably not usefull, but it's really simpler. There is no real rule, for xulrunner the rule is - BR xunrunner-devel => requires xulrunner >= version - BR xunrunner-devel-unstable => requires xulrunner = version (even if in fact most app still works with a new "minor" release) Here, it's really difficult to answer. I think it "should work" (upstream don't release a new xpi for each minor thunderbird version). I'm thinking of using the same solution then "lightning" (a scriptlet to create a link in each TH/extensions dir). And fedora ""never"" bring major update during a version lifecycle. If I see a real usable build of TH3 in updates-testing, I will build enigmail 0.96a into F10 branch. Version 0.95.7 works with TH 2.0.0.21 and is (auto)disabled in TH 3.0 (not a big problem) Version 0.96a works only with TH 3.0 and crash TH 2.0.0.21 (with is a real issue).
